More than two and a half years of collaboration combining specialist drone and maritime filming with creative direction and story-led production.

Introduction
Different View are Plymouth-based specialists in drone filming, FPV flying and marine-based video production. Their experience spans broadcast, corporate and live event coverage, with a portfolio that includes work for the BBC and ITV.
For more than two and a half years, Different View and The Hundred Hands worked closely across a range of productions. Different View brought specialist aerial and maritime filming capability, while The Hundred Hands worked as creative lead, developing narratives and producing films that communicated advanced engineering, autonomy and innovation to stakeholders and wider audiences.
Our working relationship now continues on a project-by-project basis, allowing both companies to bring each other into larger or more specialist productions when our combined experience is the right fit.
Examples of Collaboration
Beyond broadcast and commercial work, Different View have strong connections within the defence and maritime innovation sector. Our collaboration included projects involving MSubs, Marine AI and Zero USV, covering subjects across marine technology, defence and autonomous systems.
Together, we created films that captured both the technical complexity of these projects and the people responsible for developing them. By combining specialist drone and maritime filming with creative storytelling, we were able to translate complex subjects into accessible, cinematic films.
Alongside this work, we have also collaborated on cultural and community commissions, applying the same approach to projects connecting people, place and technology.
How We Work Together
Different View provide specialist aerial and marine capability, from cinematic drone sequences and fast-paced FPV shots to filming around vessels and coastal operations.
The Hundred Hands bring narrative direction, production design and a focus on story-led delivery. We consider what an audience needs to understand, identify the clearest way to communicate it and shape the filming around that objective.
Working together allows us to combine specialist technical capability with a wider production team. This is particularly valuable on larger projects where aerial filming, maritime operations, interviews and creative direction all need to work together as part of one production.
Working Together Today
The Hundred Hands and Different View now work together on a project-by-project basis. Where a production requires our combined capabilities, we can bring together Different View’s aerial and specialist marine experience with The Hundred Hands’ creative direction, production crew and post-production capability.
The experience gained through our work together also remains an important part of The Hundred Hands’ own maritime offering. Today, we provide story-led filming for sea trials, marine autonomy, defence, research, sailing, documentaries and interviews across Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall.
