Intro

Premiered in November 2023, Bailey Lanes’ ‘Underground’ is a cinematic music video produced by Paenji Productions (led by Charlotte Meling and Billy Abbott). The Hundred Hands supported the production with camera operation, capturing both dynamic movement shots and location coverage as part of a close-knit creative team. The shoot was further documented with behind-the-scenes photography by our in-house photographer, Charlotte Ashcroft-Booth.

Objective

To bring Bailey’s single ‘Underground’ to life with visuals that balanced performance, atmosphere and setting, creating a video that felt immersive and true to her artistic style.

Challenge

The shoot unfolded across two striking locations: the dark, echoing Carnglaze Caverns and the colourful nostalgia of Dingles Fairground Museum. Each space carried its own technical and creative challenges, from low-light conditions underground to capturing the energy and playfulness of the fairground rides. Coordinating the team across these very different environments and ensuring the video felt stylistically cohesive required flexibility and creative problem-solving.

Result

The finished video blends the atmosphere of underground caverns with the vibrant spectacle of the fairground, creating a visual journey that mirrors the track’s shifts in mood. ‘Underground’ amassed thousands of views and strong fan engagement. Alongside the film, our stills captured portraits and behind-the-scenes moments, extending the project’s reach across press and social media.
