Intro
That’s Plastic Mate is a bold, conceptual music video created with Bristol-based artist Gork. Filmed on the streets of Clifton, the project transformed waste into spectacle, with costumes built entirely from discarded plastic and cardboard collected from skips.

Objective
The aim was to visualise the takeover of plastic in the modern world, using costume, setting, and performance to turn an urgent message into striking visuals.

Challenge
Turning rubbish into wearable art was both a creative and technical challenge. The costumes had to be visually powerful yet durable enough for movement and performance. Filming on location in urban Bristol added further complexity; blending real street settings with surreal design while maintaining a polished, cinematic finish.

Result
The final video captured Gork’s vision through bold imagery and textured camerawork, turning everyday streets into a stage for art and protest. It stands as a strong example of how music video storytelling can merge concept, craft, and message to create something memorable.
